Disappointing as it is to find out that this isn’t a museum dedicated to the delicious cookies young girls across America have been peddling for years. This is still a sweet place to check out!
A great place to bring your kids to teach them about the 100+ year history of the Girl Scouts of America. Open 6 days a week and always free, you can choose between self-guided or guided tours with one of their volunteers or one of the museums docents.
You’ll see troop scrapbooks, old photos, a series of Girl Scout dolls and dozens of other artifacts collected all over the world. Additionally, you can try on vintage uniforms! Please note that if you’re a large man (like myself) and you try to fit into one of the vintage uniforms that clearly doesn’t fit you, you’ll get loads of dirty looks and will likely be politely asked to leave.
